Life has yet again gotten in the way of updating the site as often as I want. But with life, comes rewards. Those little rewards that often go overlooked until we step back and realize how truly blessed we are.
I have been blessed. I have a family, two healthy and (seemingly) sane boys, a wife who loves me, two dogs and a house in the suburbs. I also have a beard. And living in Iowa in this time of year, trust me I am thankful for my beard. Not only does it comfort me, it keeps me warm.
As the seasons change and we turn our sights to family gatherings, inordinate amounts of food and presents and egg nog filled mugs, take a second to be thankful. Gratefulness for all we are blessed with and a reverence for those less fortunate or unable to gather with us.
